ITB Asia Keynotes

The Opening Keynote of ITB Asia 2011 was held by Paul Brown, Hilton Worldwide's President of Global Brands & Commercial Services, on Wednesday 19 October, 2011.

THE IMPACT OF DEMOGRAPHY AND TECHNOLOGY ON MICE BUSINESS IN ASIA

Meetings and conventions are extremely important offerings for both business and leisure customers and this not expected to decline any time soon. In fact, a strong case can be made that the pace of demand for meetings and conventions products will continue to increase over the foreseeable future.

Excite the audience with your inspiring presentation.

"Keynotes presentations are remarkable speeches held by charismatic people, who have persuasive thoughts about the future trends of the travel industry. This very intimate and personal format is meant to challenge existing ideas and illustrate visions with professionals from all over the world. In 45 minutes, the speaker has the chance to accelerate reach, deepen impact and think outside the box."

However, massive and rapid changes in demographics, particularly in Asia Pacific, as well as advances in technology, including video conferencing and social media, will have significant implications on the meetings and conventions space, especially in the reasons for and composition of meetings and conventions business.

The combination of these factors will have many implications on what meetings planners and hotels should consider for their products in the future.
